here are some pictures of 3D print and fit into MM Congratulations! This is really nifty. How about a picture of the unit wired and running with the case top off? One thing to consider is how to waterproof the assembly as it is adjacent to the fan exhaust port. My own add-on assembly suffered from considerable corrosion, etc., and it was mounted far away in a relatively hot and dry area neaby dev - Mosquito Magnet

(Late reply) ...now I just blow cleaner through the Schrader valve with a 100psi compressor at the beginning of every season. Seems to do the job. How is this done? In other words, how does one use an air hose from a compressor to blow cleaner through the Schrader valve to the nozzle? Some sort of "paint gun" attachment? What machine do you have? The Independence reportedly runs the TEG at about 200°C on the hot side, and a few high temperature modules are spec'd to 230°C (pretty close to 200°). Quick connects are rarely "necessary" - one can always hack crap up - but convenience and modularity count in my world. The female connector picture from mosquitomagnetrepair.com, is explained "Threads directly into the Commercial Pro (1000MM) model Mosquito Magnet." ... You're assuming that I have "an existing". Not the case. Mine came (used, of course) without, so I need something to try to bring it up with. Too bad. The "quick connect" fitting does not look like a standard, commonly available low pressure connector. I understand "low pressure" to mean 11 inWC, and 10 psi is ~25 times that. The propane regulators seem to wear out, become clogged, or otherwise fail from time to time. (You don't cover or protect the regulator from the elements as recommended, do you?) Instead of looking for a used device, you could explore replacing the assembly with new parts. This is all part of the fun, looking for new parts to repair old systems. ... The fan draws about 600-700ma continuously, so even a 17ah Gel cell would only run about 24 hours... That, plus the demands of the igniter, would rule out a battery without an additional (solar?) source of power. The trap should continue to run especially on overcast or rainy days. That's quite a difference between this and the 134-031 board shown earlier in this topic. It makes the -031 board look positively retro. And this was all 11 years ago in 2010! I guess that makes sense, seeing as how we are all interested in keeping the old machines going. I wonder what a modern machine tear-down al la new iPhones, etc., would reveal. This youtube video shows what you have to do. A few things struck me about that video. The first is that fiberglass scratch brush is pretty large for the small vias, leaves quite the mess of tiny broken fiberglass pieces behind, and might just rip up something nearby (maybe not), not to mention being a hazard to your fingers, etc. I just use the craft knife. ... pcb did not even try to melt under 400C temperature... Regarding the 400°C hot air failing to unsolder the chip, did you first remove the conformal coating and flux the pins? You should have observed the existing solder melt and re-flow. After some experimentation, I now use about 350°C. This replacement looks pretty expensive for what it seems to be. I ended up with the same inexpensive IGT regulator used on the Patriot, which has worked well so far. I believe it needed an adapter to attach to the original hose. The $50 replacement might seems to come with the right length hose and fitting. I was having mysterious problems, and I didn't trust my original regulators because oby dev - Mosquito Magnet

Referencing the Independence schematic (I hope similar to the Executive): My unit has following problem - when 12V solenoid should actuate, only a 4,98V voltage is found... This can be "fixed" with a boost converter that steps up the voltage from 5V to 10V... Did you measure the 2700MT output voltage after the diode and across the output caps? I listened to your recording, and was struck by how regular the sound was, both in pitch, and amplitude modulation. It is far different from the irregular, turbulent "wind" sound produced by the Defender. Your sound reminds me of a rolling 'R' trill. In your blog, you talked about splitting the combustion chamber to change the nozzle? Is that necessary on the Defender? On the Liberty and Independence, you merely loosen the lock screw and the nozzle/solenoid assembly just slides out of the casting. The Patriot also has a retaining bolt. The Defender chamber must be opened to change the nozzle, a real nuisance. When opening the chamber, tby dev - Mosquito Magnet
