Hang Opening a Money File

One instance of is not a bug, but rather a feature.

If you power off your computer without closing PalOMoney or Money, or terminate (kill) either or both of them without closing them, the Money (Jet 3.5) database will indicate that it is "corrupted," meaning that certain internal states are inconsistent. Opening the Money file in either Money or PalOMoney will result in a pause or hang as the database checks and repairs itself. This process can take several seconds, depending on what's wrong, etc.

If you opened the Money file with PalOMoney, and have been for waiting more than a few minutes, you may need to terminate PalOMoney, and open the file using Money, and select one of the repair options. If this does not work, you may need to restore a backup.

Please backup often (every day) to a different file name (e.g., that includes the date). Testers have agreed to backup often so that any bugs in PalOMoney (none so far) will not damage their financial data.
